PLAYWRIGHT COMPETITION 2025

Market House Theatre is accepting full-length plays for possible production during our season. We are looking for playwrights with a residence in Kentucky, Tennessee, Mississippi, Missouri, Arkansas, Alabama, Oklahoma, Illinois and Indiana. Scripts should be submitted to info@mhtplay.org with the subject line MHT 2025 New Play Competition. Submissions will be accepted after August 1, 2025. Deadline is Nov. 1, 2025.  The play must never have been produced before but, readings are acceptable. Limit one entry per playwright. The winning entry will receive a prize of $500 and a one-year free subscription to Play Submission Helper.

KIDS CREATIVE STREET FAIR AUGUST 16, 2025

Over a dozen Paducah arts and culture organizations will provide a wide variety of free “hands-on” experiences for all ages! Past participating organizations include the Yeiser Art Center, River Discovery Center, McCracken County Public Library, and Maiden Alley Cinema. Children may choose between the many booths offering crafts, art, drama, music, games, stories, dance—and—just fun!
