River City Ghost Tours 2022

The MHT Ghost Tours are an oral history of many of the legends and lore of Paducah and Western KY’s darker history drawn from newspaper accounts, books, letters and eyewitnesses of events.

Downtown River City tours will feature stories about the ghost of the morning star saloon, the ghost of the laughing ladies, Popular Foot, The First National Bank, Harry Hank, Stella Cohen, the ghost of Maiden Alley, Paducah’s attempted witch burning and Devil Winston. Oak Grove Cemetery tours will have stories about Mannie Saunders Cobb, Huntington Row, Civil War soldiers, Oak Grove Cemetery legends, Della Barnes, Reuben Saunders, and the great flood.

River City Walking Downtown Ghost Tours will be October 7, 8 , 14, 15, 21, and 22 with tours beginning at 6:15 PM, 7:30 PM, and 8:45 PM. Tours can be added with demand.

Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for children over 8 years old. We do not recommend the tour for children under 8 years old. Tours are limited to the first 10 people. The downtown walking tour will last approx. 1 hour and will cover about 3/4 of a mile over a 5 block radius including the riverfront. The tours start promptly on time and tours are accessible by wheelchair.. 

All tours will go on regardless of rain. Attendees should bring a jacket, your mask, an unmbrella and comfortable walking shoes! Social distancing will be required.
